Physician Attestation Incentive Program
Franciscan Northwest Physicians Health Network, LLC, d/b/a Rainier Health Network (“RHN”) has entered, or will enter, into agreements, with RHN’s ACO Participants, pursuant to which RHN will provide certain incentive compensation payments in exchange for the ACO Participant’s affiliated physicians completing attestation forms with diagnosis codes of previously coded chronic conditions for Medicare beneficiary patients of the ACO Participant (the “Physician Attestation Incentive Program”).
The RHN Board of Managers reviewed the Physician Attestation Incentive Program on October 13, 2023 and determined that such arrangement is reasonably related to the purposes of the MSSP because it promotes accountability for the quality, cost, and overall care for a Medicare patient population; and assists with the managing and coordinating care for Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries through RHN’s ACO.
